WHAT TO WEAR & BRING
Wear: Modest, comfortable clothing, Shoes suitable for a short walk on uneven earth and river banks Sun hat or cap.
Bring: Waterproof footwear or water shoes (not flip flops) for wading through ankle/shin deep water – you may go barefoot, but stones on the river bed can be uncomfortable and sometime sharp underfoot. Sun block, Insect repellent (you can also purchase a RIV-made ointment with lemongrass and aloe in the Village), Camera, Pocket money for purchasing crafts, souvenirs, additional Ital samples.
You can do this tour if you are in Jamaica Montego bay, Grand Palladium or Negril Hotels. Visitor tour days are: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; 10am-6pm (other days and times may be arranged for private or group bookings for 10 or more persons). Taxi Service available.

RASTAFARIAN INDIGENIOUS VILLAGE (MONTEGO BAY)

There are many features that you will experience at the Village and will be introduced you to. Most are central to the Rastafari faith including; a specific diet called Ital, growing hair long or into dreadlocks and a dialect called Lyaric. Taxi Service available from your Negril Hotel.
RASTAFARI RHYTHMS (Tour Option 1)
This tour focuses on the rhythms of Rastafari and provides visitors with the opportunity to walk through the lives of the people of an authentic Rastafari village. Sound is always present in the village, the breeze rustling through the trees, the birds singing and the movement of the river. This creates a wonderful setting, along with the sensory ambience of daily life, in which to be introduced to Rastafari culture

RASTAFARI REASONINGS (Tour Option 2)
This tour elevates visitors to a special position in the community and offers a really unique opportunity to get up close and personal and into conversation with the Rastafari community. More than a tour, this is an experience.
